The Design/Build Team of Pilot Contracting Corporation, ATA Architects, and MSLK Engineers worked with the VIlla Madonna Academy, School Administration and Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery to create an 18,000 square foot athletic complex, make some much needed improvements to the existing school, and to develop a plan for future improvements to the school.
The new athletic complex overlooks the lake and features: seating for five hundred, boys and girls varsity and physical education locker rooms, weight and training rooms, a referee's locker room, a concession area, public restrooms, and athletic offices. The court area can accommodate two practice volleyball or basketball courts when the bleachers are retracted and divider curtain lowered, or provide room for excellent spectator viewing of the main court from the bleachers during a regulation game.
The existing school building also took on a new look. The administrative offices were relocated from the second floor to the first floor main entrance. Along with the new administrative offices, the old locker room has been turned into a Senior Lounge, the elementary library has been expanded and received a new ceiling and lighting along with the high school library. A former residence area on the third floor was renovated into two new computer labs, new boys restroom, a new high school classroom, and several offices.
